A PACKAGING CHALLENGE TO REDUCE SOLID WASTE

Who: City Parks and Recreation Agencies and High School Athletic Facilities.

What: A grass paint that reduces air pollution, packaging waste and storage space requirements.

How: Painting grass athletic fields represents a growing source of solid waste in the form of empty plastic pails and aerosol cans in addition to the quantities of aerosol propellants being released into the atmosphere.  Eco introduced TempLine™ Grass Paint in 2009 for use on natural grass athletic fields. TempLine™ Grass Paint was a revolution in paint packaging: an ultra-concentrated, two-part system that ships in a cardboard box. One box of TempLine provides the equivalent paint of 60 aerosol cans at 20% of the cost, or the equivalent of two 5-gallon plastic pails for approximately 60% of shipping costs. In both instances, Eco Grass Paint saves money and eliminates solid waste destined for landfills.
